Joint Meeting CRC/Transregio 124 and Invasive Mycoses in Haematological Malignancies (IMIHM) XIII
This year’s 13th IMIHM meeting was held for the sixth time as a Joint Meeting together with scientists from the CRC/Transregio 124.
At this meeting, especially young pre- and post-docs of the FungiNet Consortium presented their very latest research data in own sessions prior to the IMIHM XIII meeting.
In addition, internationally renowned experts in the field of fungal infections were invited for IMIHM XIII to contribute to this scientific programme and to continue the discussion of the most recent developments in fungal research. The kaleidoscope of researchers included colleagues with focuses on immunology, microbiology, clinical mycology as well as on basic science topics.
This year for the first time, we had a controversial debate on the use and benefit of antifungal prophylaxis in patients at risk for Aspergillus infection.
